The future of Daybreak Church

Dear Friends of Daybreak Church,

There are a lot of exciting things happening! The truth is we would not have made it this far without the Lord's help and without the prayers and support of so many friends all over this big beautiful ball that we call earth.

On September 22, 2013 we launched DBC and for the last 19 months we have been meeting in a local school. We have seen lives changed, families restored, various missions projects funded and the gospel shared! Though we have faced our share of challenges, the journey so far has been amazing!

Our relationship with the community and school have been great. That being said a few weeks ago we were notified that due to some recent policy changes beyond our control our rent is going to double in the near future. For any organization this would be very impactful.

A few weeks ago when we received the letter we began seeking God for answers. Long story short after a 3 year search that started way before we launched, we have found a building that is in the right place, at the right time for the right price. We would be renting initially but there are other opportunities available in this space for the future.

So why am I writing you today? I'm so glad you asked!

We are asking you to pray for two things:

1 - Please pray for Gods will to be done and for us to respond accordingly.

Especially pray tonight April 20th at 7pm for our final zoning meeting!!

We feel really good about this building and this opportunity hardly feels like an accident, but with the best of our ability we believe in following Gods leading.

Our prayer is: God if this is the next step for DBC then open the door. And if it is not then please shut the door completely.

2 - Please continue to pray for provision. If this is approved we will have to move quickly because we do not have the resources to afford both locations while we prepare the new space. Moving into a new space will include the cost of (some inspection upgrades, various deposits, some renovations and the outfitting of the building.) We plan to use all of our existing equipment but we will need to purchase a few things to make the space functional.

The thing is, this prayer for provision continues even if we don't get the building because our rent is about to double at our existing location.

Some of the greatest decisions that any of us will ever get the opportunity to make is to trust Jesus and walk by faith! Quickly following those two decisions we have the opportunity to do life with other people. We are so blessed to have so many incredible people walking with us on this journey of faith.

Again we thank you for your prayers and support thus far and we covet your prayers for tonights meeting and in the coming weeks as we continue to walk by faith!

For sure we serve a faithful God who has never let us down!

In the coming weeks we will share an update on this blog. For more info or if you want to give to what God is doing through Daybreak Church visit http://daybreakchurch.info/give/

Thank you in advance! We really do believe that the best is yet to come! We don't know what tomorrow holds but we do know that the future of Daybreak Church is in God's hands!

Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen. Ephesians‬ ‭3‬:‭20-21‬

It's time to begin again.

Well hello my friends! It has most certainly been a long time since I blogged! In fact my last blog was posted on August 17th, 2013 which was a little over a month before we launched Daybreak Church. Maybe it's time to begin again.

As I'm writing this just after midnight, yesterday marked the first day of spring on the calendar but in my neck of the woods in York, PA it looked like a snow globe outside. That being said today is supposed to be in the 50's so we are almost ready for the beach here in the Northern parts of the good old U.S. of A.!

Thinking about the changing of seasons, last Sunday morning I felt led to record a short video on my Facebook about God bringing us into a new season. I had no idea that so many people needed to hear that word of encouragement. 800 plus views and a week later and I am still getting messages from people that were blessed by it. If you want to check it out click HERE. A lot of people thanked me but anything good that comes from me is all God and God is really good at what He does my friends!

So tonight as I was contemplating what to write I walked outside onto my little apartment porch and just took a few minutes to breathe in the cool, crisp air. It is amazing how clean and pure the air feels after a good snow. My Florida friends have no idea what I'm talking about. Anyways as I stood outside looking at the beautiful evening sky my heart started to overflow with gratitude. God is so faithful regardless of the season that we find ourselves in and I can't help but continue to say thank you. The even more amazing thing about God is that His grace extends to us when we are thriving in our season or struggling.

God has been speaking so much to me and I assure you that I am taking notes. If I am honest it has been difficult to keep up at times but I am so thankful for this journey that He has us on. When I say us I am talking about all of us. Our life is a journey.

If you are like most of us you probably had some kind of resolutions or goals for the new year that have stalled, but maybe it's time to begin again! With the new spring season upon us what is one thing that you are ready to begin again? God is all about second chances and fresh starts.

I've been writing more than just sermons and songs here recently which is kind of new thing for me, but I am also ready to kick the health part of my hustle into second gear! What say you friends? What is the one thing that you are ready to work on as God brings us into this new season?

Feel free to comment on this blog so that I can agree with you in prayer for whatever that one thing is. Let's encourage each other. Don't do life alone. God is mindful.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17

Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:13-14

The grass is starting to break through the snow. I would agree that it is time for us all to begin again!
